A 5-time Grammy Award winner, he is best known for his parodies of the biggest musical artists over the last 4 decades, including Madonna, Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, Queen, U2 and Lady Gaga, all with their personal blessings. His many hits include “Amish Paradise,” “Eat It,” “Like a Surgeon,” “Smells Like Nirvana,” “Word Crimes,” and the platinum-selling “White & Nerdy.” His last album Mandatory Fun is the only comedy album in history to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200. Yankovic’s live shows have entertained audiences across the globe for generations, including appearances at such iconic venues as Radio City Music Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks, Carnegie Hall, Wolf Trap, The Kennedy Center and Madison Square Garden. For the "Weird Al" Yankovic on-air contest, listen to the Station from August 31, 2026 to September 4, 2026 between 10:00 am PT and 3:00 pm PT for the announcement of the cue to call. Upon hearing the cue to call, be the designated caller, as announced on the air to 1-833-288-0973 after the cue to call airs and correctly answer the question (as announced by the on-air personality prior to the cue to call), to be awarded two (2) tickets to "Weird Al" Yankovic at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park on September 16, 2026. Approximate retail value (ARV) of the prize is $143.00, courtesy of the San Diego Symphony. This contest is open to residents of San Diego County and Riverside County. There will be up to five (5) winners. Redeeming and using the prize(s) in this contest requires for the winner(s) (i) to have a valid email address and an app-enabled mobile device capable of downloading and running a third-party mobile ticketing app (e.g., Ticketmaster, AXS, MLB, etc.); (ii) to install, or have already installed, such mobile ticketing app on their app-enabled mobile device; and (iii) to login into an existing user account or to sign up for a free user account with the third-party operating such mobile ticketing app by completing a form with all required information, including at a minimum first name, last name, and valid email address.
