The Padres got off to a rough start on Sunday, falling behind to the Pirates with an early 4 run deficit, as rookie Cal Quantrill gave up 4 earned runs in the first inning.  The Padres were never able to overcome the deficit, despite scoring 4 runs of their own in the 7th inning, as the Friars lost 6-4, which was their 6th loss in their last 7 games, dropping the team under .500 for the first time all season.
