Art has the power to heal, to connect, and to tell stories words can’t always capture — and a new collaboration in San Diego is proving just that. Just in Time for Foster Youth has teamed up with Woodward Contemporary to help young adults transitioning out of foster care find their voices through creativity.
Through a series of painting workshops led by local artists, these youth have explored themes of identity, resilience, and hope — and now, their work is taking center stage in an inspiring new exhibit called “Palette of Possibilities.” The show, which runs now through November 8th, blends the talents of professional artists with the heartfelt expressions of participants who’ve used art as a path toward healing and self-discovery.
Stephany Polanco, Marketing Coordinator at Just in Time for Foster Youth, Just in Time, a Participant with Just in Time, and an Artist in the show at Woodward Contemporary, discusses this powerful partnership, how art is helping to shape new possibilities, and the difference it’s making in the lives of young people finding their way forward.
