Aaron Judge's all-time double entendre on Gary Sanchez leaving Yankees: 'It's a shot in the arm'

While it may have been tongue-in-cheek or even unintentional at best, Aaron Judge certainly didn’t help speculation about his vaccination status when asked about the Yankees’ recent trade with the Twins on Monday.

When asked how if he has spoken to Gary Sanchez and/or Gio Urshela since they were dealt to Minnesota, Judge said he spoke to both, and, well…just listen to Judge’s answer yourself:

Judge and Sanchez were first teammates in 2015, both spending time at Triple-A Scranton the then Double-A affiliate Trenton, and both came up to the Bigs in 2016, so they have truly been together for more than seven years.

That’s quite a bond, but no matter what Judge said, given the whirlwind around vaccination statuses and eligibility to play that popped up on Monday, using “a shot in the arm” is absolutely going to get used out of context quite often.
