The San Diego State Aztecs beat the Air Force Falcons 70-60 on Saturday night in Colorado Springs, Colo. With the victory, the Aztecs improved to 15-4 overall and 6-1 in Mountain West Conference play.
The Aztecs trailed by four points with eight minutes remaining in the first half, but finished the opening half on a 26-7 run. San Diego State led 39-24 at halftime and never trailed again.
Keshad Johnson and Matt Bradley both scored 13 points to lead the Aztecs. Darrion Trammell collected 12 points, while Lamont Butler also scored 11. The Aztecs shot 39% as a team, and went 4-for-15 from three-point range.
The Aztecs excelled against the Falcons in rebounding and at the free throw line. San Diego State held a +20 rebounding margin, while also shooting 96% (22-for-23) on free throws.
San Diego State returns home to Viejas Arena on Wednesday night against Utah State. Opening tip is at 8 p.m.
