Aztecs Use Big Second Half to Cruise Past Wyoming

Despite having just a two-point lead at halftime, the San Diego State Aztecs scored 47 points in the second half to cruise to an 81-65 victory against the Wyoming Cowboys on Tuesday evening.

The Aztecs shot 67% as a team in the second half, while holding Wyoming to 36% in the game's final 20 minutes.

Lamont Butler led all scorers with 23 points, while also collecting four assists and five rebounds.

Jaedon LeDee and Darrion Trammell were the other two Aztecs to score in double figures. LeDee had 17 points and seven rebounds, while Trammell finished with 12 points. Elijah Saunders also contributed with nine points on a trio of three-pointers.

San Diego State improved to 16-4 overall and 5-2 in Mountain West Conference play.

The Aztecs return to action at Colorado State on Tuesday, January 30. Opening tip is at 6 p.m.
