The San Diego State Aztecs secured a 76-67 win in overtime against the California Golden Bears at the SoCal Showcase in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. on Saturday, improving to 5-1 in non-conference play.
The Aztecs have won three consecutive games, including back-to-back wins over a pair of Pac-12 opponents in Cal and Washington.
Reese Waters led the Aztecs with 24 points, while Jaedon LeDee scored 19 points. Waters was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line. The game was tied at 63-63 at the end of regulation, with the Aztecs outscoring Cal 13-4 in the overtime period.
San Diego State's defense held the Golden Bears to 32% shooting from the floor and 24% from three-point range.
The Aztecs host Point Loma Nazarene at Viejas Arena on Monday. Opening tip is at 7 p.m.
