Conor McGregor is putting up a fight — this time over his hilariously awful first pitch at the Chicago Cubs game on Tuesday night.

The MMA fighter went viral after he flung the ball from his left hand over everyone’s head and behind the right-handed hitter’s batter box and off the brick wall behind home plate.

The throw was so bad, everyone on social media immediately began roasting McGregor and asking the all-important question: which first pitch was worse? McGregor’s or 50 Cent’s?

Well, the 33-year-old McGregor is not taking kind to this comparison and posted a 198-word rant on Instagram late Wednesday night explaining why his first pitch is not only better than 50 Cent’s, but the “most powerful and fastest first pitch of any of these other athletes/artis over the years.”

McGregor certainly knows how to hype himself and puts quite the spin on the first pitch being the most fast and powerful first pitch, disregarding that it was nowhere near home plate — a rather important factor.

He also somehow managed to offer some nice words about Wrigley mid-rant and brag about his rare, expensive watch while dissing 50 Cent.

Oh, and then he shared some photos of his whiskey brand, Proper Twelve, because now that we’re all here, why not?

Anyway, the pitch was bad. Maybe not 50 Cent bad but it is certainly in the conversation.

But if there is one thing McGregor knows it is how to draw attention and he has certainly succeeded here.
