Did Tom Brady force out Bruce Arians? NFL Twitter thinks so

The resignation of Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians was understandably a hot topic on Wednesday night, but it didn't exactly come as a surprise to many journalists and discerning fans alike.

Arians and legendary quarterback Tom Brady clashed publicly at times during their two-year run together, and several damning reports indicated the friction was real.

Brady's bizarre return from a brief, 40-day retirement only added fuel to the fire, and several prominent pundits insisted that something was bound to give.

Sure enough those predictions came to pass, with Arians stepping into a front-office role, and defensive coordinator Todd Bowles being promoted to take over.

While Arians framed his decision as an inevitable retirement simply being expedited by a year, and Brady posted a seemingly heartfelt tribute on Instagram, Twitter sleuths weren't exactly buying it.
