The Steelers made it two skill-position players in as many picks in the NFL Draft on Friday night, when they selected Georgia wide receiver George Pickens in the second round.

The selection of Pickens came one night after the Steelers struck for a quarterback in the opening round in former Pitt star Kenny Pickett.

While the selection of Pickett over Liberty QB Malik Willis was a topic of debate among some football observers, the Pickens pick was widely praised a steal.

Pickens has prototype size and speed for a lead receiver, but he missed most of last season with a knee injury, and there are concerns about his makeup.

In any event, the buzz on social media was that the Steelers had acquired a "first-round talent" midway through the second.
