It was a long Saturday for Farmers Insurance Open Champion Luke List. List finished his final round and entered the clubhouse nearly two hours before Will Zalatoris, who led for most of the tournament, missed a birdie putt on the 18th hole to force a sudden death playoff. List earned his first career win on the PGA Tour by winning on the first playoff hole against Zalatoris, after entering Saturday 5 strokes behind leaders Zalatoris and Jason Day.
Day hit perhaps the shot of the tournament when he holed out for eagle on the 14th hole to regain a share of the lead:
World #1 golfer and 2020 Farmers Champion Jon Rahm birdied 17 by draining a long putt to draw within 1 stroke of the lead heading into his 72 hole:
Rahm wasn't able to gain a stroke on 18, clearing the way for Will Zalatoris to win the tournament on this birdie putt that came oh so close to dropping:
List tried to stay ready for a potential playoff that came to fruition after Zalatoris tapped in for par on the 18th hole. List took his opportunity on the first hole of the sudden death playoff and ran with it:
Congratulations to Luke List!
