Max Homa rallied from a 5-stroke deficit to win the Farmers Insurance Open by 2 strokes over Keegan Bradley, earning his sixth career win on the PGA Tour. Jon Rahm was the overwhelming favorite to win the tournament, which would have been his third consecutive win, moving him into the world's #1 ranking. However, Rahm's round one 73 and round four 74 were too much to overcome, despite shooting a 67 and 66 in rounds two and three.
Homa's 6-under on Sunday was good enough for the win, as he punctuated his afternoon with a birdie putt on 18 to seal the win. Homa was able to overtake Sam Ryder's attempt to go wire-to-wire, after he tied for the lead after Round 1 and had the lead all to himself after Rounds 2 and 3. The victory was Homa's fourth in his native state of California.
