There's no need to sugarcoat it: Cleveland Cavaliers fans won't have a whole lot to look forward to this season. But Larry Nance Jr. is giving all of us a good reason to watch Cavaliers basketball during the 2020-21 season.

He announced an initiative he will be undertaking on Wednesday.

Hey Cleveland,
Locally owned business are some of the pillars of our communities. They have been, and still are being hit hard by this pandemic. In an effort to bring some extra support to them I need your help!

Send a shirt (XL), hat, or piece of apparel from any of your favorite local businesses you'd like to see helped out to me at:
6101 Brecksville Rd
Independence, OH 44131

I will wear each piece of apparel to a game this year, be photographed, and post about that business to help bring awareness. On top of that, I will be selling my worn jersey from said game, and also will match whatever price the jersey sells for, with 100% of the proceeds going to the business being represented that night.

This is our city, these are our communities, let's help each other in this time of need!
Go Cavs!
- Larry

We're here for it! Cleveland, send him your favorites, and get those local businesses the respect and attention they deserve!

And again, there's no need to sugarcoat the fact that the on-court product will probably be a little tough to watch at times. But the future could be bright. The backcourt of Darius Garland and Collin Sexton holds a lot of promise, and Dante Exum looked sharp in preseason action.

Wings Kevin Porter Jr. and Isaac Okoro are players we should be hyping up, the latter of whom Jay Bilas was very excited about on "RDC with McD."

And behind bigs Kevin Love and Andre Drummond, there's the aforementioned Nance Jr., who NBA insider John Hollinger calls an "underrated player (who) passes, screens, defends and dunks." If his off-court behavior is any indication, the combination of his production in the post and his ability to help out the community will keep the Akron-born Nance Jr., whose father played for the Cavs from 1988 to 1994, in Clevelanders' hearts for some time.
