With Al Michaels departing to Amazon Prime, NBC had a decision to make on who will make up their booth come time for the start of the 2022 season.

The broadcasting giant is officially announcing Tuesday that Michaels will be replaced by Mike Tirico, who will be partnering with Cris Collinsworth. Melissa Stark will replace Michelle Tafoya on the sidelines.

Tirico will be replacing a legendary broadcaster who has been a network staple for 17 years. Even though it will be a tough task, if there is anyone with similar experience having covered pretty much every major sporting event there is to cover.

As for Collinsworth, he will remain with the network for his 14th season despite his long-time partner jumping ship over to Amazon Prime to call Thursday Night Football games. Both he and Trico have called multiple games together since his arrival from ESPN in 2016.

Some older viewers of the NFL may remember Tafoya's replacement. Stark was the sideline reporter for a few seasons on ABC's 'Monday Night Football,' before eventually becoming a host for the NFL Network since 2011.

The teams first game together is the annual Hall of Fame game played in Canton, Oh, landing on Aug. 4.
