The San Diego Bowl Game Association has announced that the 2022 Holiday Bowl will be played at Petco Park on Wednesday December 28th at 5:00 pm. The Pregame Show will begin at 4:30 pm, and will be televised nationally on FOX. This will be the first college football game played at Petco Park after last year's game was canceled due to Covid-19 health and safety protocols.
“We’re excited to announce the 2022 bowl game date,” said Cherry Park, 2022 president of the Holiday Bowl. “Last year’s cancellation was certainly challenging and heartbreaking for college football fans and the entire San Diego community. We can’t wait for December 28 to finally bring the game and the amazing experience to Petco Park and downtown San Diego.”
In 2022 SDCCU Holiday Bowl fans will have the opportunity to enjoy three days of bowl game events that include a concert, the Snapdragon Bowl Bash – a downtown San Diego street party, the Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade and, of course, the SDCCU Holiday Bowl. The bowl game matches top teams from the Pac-12 and ACC.
