Joe Burrow, who was historically bad on Sunday, connected with Ja’Marr Chase with two seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 20 and seemingly give the Bengals a surprising victory.

Instead, the Steelers blocked the extra point by Evan McPherson to force overtime.

Once in overtime, the Bengals had yet another chance to win the game but McPherson shockingly missed a 29-yard game-winning field goal. The second-year kicker had connected on a 59-yard field goal earlier in the game.

But the Steelers failed to capitalize and missed a field goal on their next possession, although slightly more challenging as Chris Boswell’s 55-yard attempt hit the upright.

The Bengals punted the next possession and the Steelers finally won the game after Boswell split the uprights from 53 yards to avoid a tie and finish the craziest game of Week 1.

Naturally, the game drew all kinds of reaction on social media as fans could not believe the wild finish, especially taking aim at the kickers.
