Hornets' LaMelo Ball reportedly scoops up Cam Newton's Charlotte luxury condo

Cam Newton did get some good news in recent days. He has found a buyer for his nearly $3 million Charlotte condo.

For that, the Patriots quarterback can thank a member of the Ball family.

According to Panthers beat reporter Sheena Quick, LaMelo Ball -- the Charlotte Hornets' first-round pick -- has bought Newton's pad, which had been on the market since July.

The space has three bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms in a 3,335 square-foot setting. Newton had owned the condo since 2012, buying it for $1.6 million. According to the Charlotte Observer, Michael Jordan owns the seventh floor of the building which includes seven units.

Ball recently signed a four-year, $35.6 million deal with the Hornets.
