In a game with playoff implications and a whole lot of COVID-related complications, the Cleveland Browns unfortunately came up short against the Las Vegas Raiders. However, as is typically the case in Browns games no matter the outcome, running back Nick Chubb was a bright spot.

The fourth-year star rumbled for 91 yards on 23 carries, finding the end zone for his seventh rushing touchdown of the season and his eighth total score. In doing so, he joined a pretty recognizable name in the Browns record books with an impressive statistical achievement.
When comparing the two star running backs through their first three seasons, you'll see that Brown definitely has the overall edge in the stats... but Chubb really isn't too far behind. In fact, Chubb actually leads in yards per attempt with a 5.2 figure to Brown's 5.1 (via Stathead).
With eight more touchdowns so far this year, Chubb has 45 total scores through his first four seasons. Not only is that impressive in the context of Browns franchise history, as his feat approaches Brown-esque territory, but it's pretty darn good when looking at running backs as a whole. Prior to Chubb's Monday night touchdown, there were only 25 running backs in the history of the game that had scored 45 or more touchdowns in their first four seasons. Given that Chubb should realistically find pay dirt a few more times on the year, we can probably assume he'll surpass the four-year scoring totals of Christian McCaffrey (45), Curtis Martin (46), Walter Payton (47) and a handful of others to really enter the elite top-20 territory (via Stathead):
Chubb also reached 1,000 yards rushing for the third consecutive year, joining Jonathan Taylor and Joe Mixon — and likely Dalvin Cook, come the conclusion of the Vikings' Sunday night game against the Bears — as the only running backs to hit that number so far in the 2021 campaign.
It's no surprise, then, that Chubb was one of the five Browns who was named to the 2022 Pro Bowl, held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas ahead of the Super Bowl.
