A day after returning to the AP Top-25, the No. 22 San Diego State Aztecs fell 75-66 to the Nevada Wolfpack on Tuesday evening in Reno, Nev.
With the loss, the Aztecs dropped to 8-2 in Mountain West Conference play and 17-5 overall. San Diego State and Boise State are now tied for 1st place in the conference standings, with a matchup between the two teams looming on Friday night at Viejas Arena.
While the Aztecs had a two-point lead at halftime, Nevada outscored SDSU 47-36 in the second half.
San Diego State had two players score in double figures. Matt Bradley led the Aztecs with 16 points and connected on a trio of three-pointers, while Darrion Trammell had 10 points. The Aztecs shot 44% as a team and 30% from beyond the arc.
Nevada shot 50% from the floor and were led by Jarod Lucas, who scored a game-high 26 points. The Wolfpack had three other players score in double figures, including Will Baker with 19 points and Kenan Blackshear with 18 points.
