
Round 3 of the Farmers Insurance Open saw Justin Thomas shoot 1-over while Jon Rahm finished day even. Will Zalatoris (-7) and Jason Day (-5) surged up the leaderboard to tie for a 1 stroke lead at -14, with Thomas and Rahm both trailing by a single stroke. Sungjae Im (-4), Aaron Rai (-3), Maverick McNealy (-5) and Cameron Young (-8) were among the biggest movers up the leaderboard on Friday. The tournament concludes on Saturday with the final round.

Will Zalatoris was one of the biggest stories on Friday, as he shot 7-under to finish in a tie with Jason Day atop the leaderboard at -14.
Jason Day finished Round 3 tied for the lead with Will Zalatoris at -14 after shooting 5-under par on Friday.
Jon Rahm had his worst round yet, shooting even par thanks to a double bogey on 10 and a bogey on 12. Despite not gaining any ground, Rahm still finished just 1 shot off the lead.
Maverick McNealy is another player who shined on Friday, shooting -5 to surge up the leaderboard and finish tied for 8th place at -11.
Aaron Rai's strong play continued on Friday, as he finished in a tie for 3rd place at 13-under par.
