San Diego FC has officially named Mikey Varas as the club's first-ever head coach. Varas has a history of working with and developing young players, which will be paramount as SDFC's program develops. Most prominently, he was the head coach of the United States' U-20 team from 2021-23. He also served as an assistant coach for the US Men's National Team. San Diego FC will play its inaugural season in 2025.
