Major League Baseball announced its Manager of the Year winners on Tuesday afternoon, and Padres skipper Mike Shildt finished in 2nd place with 70 total points (1 1st place, 19 2nd place and 8 3rd place votes) after guiding the Padres to the second most wins in franchise history. Brewers manager Pat Murphy won the award with 144 points.
