The Padres ended their 4-game losing streak with a 5-1 win over the Giants on Tuesday night. Nick Pivetta gave up a solo home run to leadoff hitter Jung Hoo Lee, and then was nearly perfect from that point on, allowing just that one run over 6 innings while striking out 10 hitters. Manny Machado tied the game quickly in the bottom of the 1st with an RBI-groundout. Jose Iglesias came through with an RBI-single in the 4th, while Fernando Tatis Jr. drew a bases loaded walk to put the Padres up 3-1. Ryan O'Hearn drew the start at DH, and went 2-4 with an RBI-single in the 5th inning, and Luis Arraez drove in a run in the 6th inning. Adrian Morejon, Jason Adam and Robert Suarez each tossed a scoreless frame, as the Padres got back in the win column.
