The Padres bounced back after Saturday's excruciating loss and avoided being swept with an 8-2 win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday. Nick Pivetta was fantastic, striking out 9 over 7 innings while allowing just 2 runs on a home run to Eugenio Suarez in the 5th inning. Fernando Tatis Jr. encouragingly continued to show signs that he's put an end to his slump, going 4-5 at the dish with 2 doubles, an rbi, 3 runs scored and a stolen base. It was Tatis's third consecutive multi-hit game. Jake Cronenworth blasted a 2-run homer after a very long at-bat to put the Padres up 3-0, and Elias Diaz contributed his 4th long ball of the season. The Padres improved to 8 games above .500, and will open a 4-game series against the Dodgers in LA on Monday.
