The Padres beat the Diamondbacks 10-5 on Sunday to win their opening series 3-1. This game got out of control early when Jurickson Profar hit a grand slam in the 2nd inning, followed by another homer by Jorge Alfaro. The Padres continued to tack on runs throughout the game, scoring in the 4th, 5th and 6th innings to put this game well out of reach. Blake Snell was scheduled to start the game, but never took the mound as he was a late scratch due to left adductor tightness. The Padres will begin a 3-game series against the Giants on Monday.
