The Padres defeated the Giants 13-7 on Wednesday, coming from behind to win the game and the series against their division rival. The Giants jumped out to a 4-0 lead after 3 innings, with JD Davis hitting a solo homer in the 2nd inning and the Giants adding 3 more runs in the 3rd inning on run-scoring singles from Austin Slater and Wilmer Flores. But the Padres would respond immediately, tallying 6 runs in the bottom of the 3rd. San Francisco would take the lead back with 3 runs in the top of the 6th, and just like they had earlier in the game, the Padres responded with a crooked number in the bottom half following the Giants, this time scoring 7 runs in the bottom of the 6th frame. The Padres totaled 13 runs on 16 hits in what was a welcomed offensive-outburst after their recent slump. The Padres will head on the road for a 6-game trip against the Nationals and Marlins.
