The Padres won their second straight game against the Rangers thanks to a magnificent outing from Yu Darvish and a big 2nd from the Padres' offense. Darvish needed just 92 pitches to strike out 9 hitters over 6 shutout innings, bouncing back from the worst start of his season when the Padres needed it most. The Friars scored all 4 of their runs in the 2nd inning on an RBI-single from Luis Campusano, a bases loaded walk from Gary Sanchez and a 2-run single from Ha-Seong Kim. The Padres will now have an opportunity to make a big statement to the front office with a sweep of the first place Rangers on Sunday with Blake Snell on the mound.
