The Padres bounced back from Friday's loss to beat the Rockies 8-3 on Saturday night. Dylan Cease breezed through five scoreless innings before giving up three runs in the 6th, including a 2-run home run to Michael Toglia. But entering the inning, the Padres had built a 7-run lead. The Padres bats were hot, scoring 2 runs in each of the second, fourth and sixth innings, including 2 RBIs from Bryce Johnson and a solo homer from Luis Campusano in the 8th inning to put the Padres back on top by 5. It was Johnson's first career multi-RBI game. Manny Machado also bounced back from a rough game on Friday to reach base five times, going 4-4 plus drawing a walk. Joe Musgrove will take the mound for his second start since returning from the IL with a chance to win the series for the Padres on Sunday.
