Manager Bob Melvin brought in closer Taylor Rogers to face Freddie Freeman, and Rogers promptly struck out Freeman to come within one out of escaping the jam. But Trea Turner then hit a 2-run double to tie the game. This game would end up going extra innings. Jurickson Profar made the play of the night in the top half of the 10th, catching a deep fly ball and throwing out Chris Taylor at third base, after he began the inning in scoring position. Trent Grisham would lay down a bunt to move C.J. Abrams to third base with one out in the bottom half of the inning, and Austin Nola drove in Abrams with a sac-fly to win the game. The rubber game of this 3-game series is Sunday at 1:10.
