The Padres secured their 7th win in the last 10 games on Friday night, beating the Marlins 3-2. Yu Darvish delivered another quality start for the Friars, allowing just 2 runs in 7 innings. Manny Machado continued his MVP campaign, going 2-3 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base. Taylor Rogers was unavailable for the save opportunity, so Steven Wilson came in to close things out in the 9th in a 1-run game. After allowing the first two batters he faced to reach base, Wilson got the next three batters to fly out, earning his first career save in the process. The Padres can lock up a series win on Saturday with Sean Manaea on the mound.
