Neither had their best stuff, as Dylan Cease allowed 4 runs in 6 innings of work, while Logan Webb allowed 3 runs in 6 innings, but gave up 10 hits and 2 walks. The Padres out-hit the Giants 11-8, but none of them were home runs. Meanwhile, Grant McCray launched a 3-run homer in the 2nd inning and a 2-run homer in the 9th inning, along with an RBI-groundout in the 4th, as the Giants rookie center fielder knocked in all six of the Giants runs. Joe Musgrove will start the rubber match between these two NL West foes on Sunday.
