The Padres blew a 3-run lead in the 9th inning on Thursday to lose 5-4 to the Brewers. Jorge Alfaro's 2-run blast in the 6th inning gave the Padres a 3-1 lead. San Diego added an insurance run in the 8th to make it 4-1 thanks to a sacrifice fly from Sergio Alcantara. Taylor Rogers entered the bottom of the 9th inning with a 3-run cushion. After loading the bases with no outs, Jace Peterson hit a bases clearing triple to tie the game for Milwaukee, with the winning run 90 feet away with no outs. The Brewers wasted no time after that, as Andrew McCutchen drove in Peterson in the next at-bat, as the Brewers walked it off 5-4 winners.
