The Padres continued their pattern of alternating games in which they score 1 run with games where they have offensive outbursts, this time beating the Mariners 10-3 following Tuesday's 4-1 loss. Every Padres starter reached base, and Juan Soto notched his first career 5-hit game. Gary Sanchez crushed his 4th home run as a member of the Padres, a 3-run blast in the 3rd inning, and Jake Cronenworth showed signs of breaking out of his offensive slump, collecting 3 hits in a game for the first time since April 15th. Perhaps most importantly, the Padres went 6-14 with runners in scoring position.

Michael Wacha's stellar season with the Padres continued, as he fired 6 shutout innings with 7 strikeouts while only allowing 3 baserunners. The Padres will now enjoy a much needed day off before a 3-game road trip at Coors Field begins on Friday.
