The San Diego Padres have signed infielder Leodalis De Vries, who is widely considered the top overall player in this year's international signing class. The 17-year-old ranks first on FanGraphs' 2024 International Prospect Rankings and MLB Pipeline's International Prospect rankings.
Following last year's signing of catcher Ethan Salas, the Padres have now signed the top overall international prospect in consecutive years.
