MacKenzie Gore delivered the pitching performance Padres fans have waited years to see. Gore fired 5 shutout innings and struck out 7 hitters en route to a 6-0 win, as the Padres secured their first sweep of the season. Jurickson Profar starred in this game as well. In the 4th inning he threw out Joey Votto from left field to save a run and end the inning, then hit a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 4th. The Padres improved to 9-5 on the season, and will have a day off on Thursday before welcoming in the Dodgers for a 3-game series this weekend.
