The Padres beat the Giants for the second night in a row behind strong starting pitching and the offense coming through. Blake Snell lowered his MLB leading ERA to 2.50 with 6 scoreless frames. Meanwhile, the offense Padres fans had imagined all year long showed up, with the team bashing 4 home runs. Juan Soto went deep in the 1st, followed by Xander Bogaerts and Gary Sanchez in the 2nd inning. Garrett Cooper broke the game wide open with a 3-run blast in the 6th inning off of rookie Kyle Harrison. The Padres will send Seth Lugo to the mound on Sunday with a chance to take 3 of 4 from their division foe.
