The Padres lost 7-3 to the Rockies at Coors Field on Friday night, as Matt Waldron's struggles continued. Things looked like they may go the Padres way in the top of the 1st inning when they loaded the bases with no outs, but Manny Machado struck out and Xander Bogaerts grounded into a double play to end the threat. It was one of those types of nights for the Padres, who went 0-8 with runners in scoring position and stranded 10 runners on base while grounding into four double plays. Matt Waldron allowed 7 earned runs on 9 hits and a walk in 5.2 innings of work, as the Padres never led in the game. Dylan Cease will look to right the ship on Saturday against Kyle Freeland.
