San Diego State went on the road and lost to Air Force 49-10, their 4th loss in a row. The Aztecs struggled again on the ground, averaging 3.5 yards per carry. Jalen Mayden was inefficient through the air, completing just 13 of 24 pass attempts for 122 yards, 1 touchdown and an interception. SDSU held Air Force off the scoreboard in the 1st quarter, and scored first on a 21-yard touchdown pass to Josh Nicholsson. But the Falcons exploded afterwards, scoring 21 points in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and tacking on another touchdown in the 4th quarter for good measure. The Aztecs will enter their bye week before traveling to Hawaii to face the Rainbow Warriors on October 14th.
