San Diego State defeated Creighton in nail-biting fashion 57-56 on Sunday to advance to its first ever Final Four. SDSU started off slow and got behind big, and trailed by 5 points at the half. They played much better in the second half, with sinking clutch shots and playing stifling defense. Things got intense in the final moments of the game. Adam Seiko through an errant inbounds pass with a 2 point lead and around 30 seconds to play. The pass was right under Creighton's basket, and Baylor Scheierman intercepted the pass which led to an easy lay-in to tie the game. The Aztecs would hold for the final shot, and Lamont Butler drove to the lane, and drew a foul with the game tied at 56. After missing the first free throw, he sank the second one to send the Aztecs to Houston to face Florida Atlantic for a chance to make the National Championship game on Saturday.
