San Diego FC advanced to the Conference Semifinals in the MLS Cup Playoffs with a 4-0 win over Portland on Sunday evening, taking the best of 3 series 2 games to 1. SDFC nearly had the series wrapped up in 2 games, but allowed an equalizer in the 8th minute of stoppage time and then lost in penalty kicks, forcing a decisive Game 3. SDFC didn't leave this match up to chance, pouring on the offense from the get go. Anders Dreyer scored in the 5th minute of the match and Amahl Pellegrino scored 12 minutes later in the 17th minute, and they never looked back from there. Pellegrino and Dreyer each added a second goal in the second half, as this match was never in doubt. SDFC will now face Minnesota United FC on Monday the 24th at 7 pm at Snapdragon Stadium.
