San Diego FC capped off their historic expansion season by earning the Western Conference's top seed heading into the playoffs thanks to a 4-0 win over Portland combined with Vancouver losing their regular season finale. SDFC set the MLS record for most wins and most points in an expansion season, and will now face either either the Portland Timbers or Real Salt Lake in the MLS Cup Playoffs.
