San Diego FC's magical season continued, as they clinched a playoff spot over the weekend in their inaugural season, clinching a postseason berth earlier than any other expansion team in MLS history. SDFC needed a win or a draw on Saturday night to clinch a playoff spot, and came away with a 0-0 draw. It could have been an even better evening for SDFC, adding 3 points with a win instead of 1 point from a draw, as they appeared to score 3 separate times, but each of the goals was overturned by VAR. SDFC remains in 1st place in the Western Conference, and just 1 point behind the Philadelphia Union for MLS's best overall record with six regular season games remaining on their schedule.
