San Diego FC's home opener ended in a 0-0 draw against St. Louis City SC on Saturday night. SDFC dominated nearly every aspect of the game, but wasn't able to ultimately score a goal. SDFC won the time of possession battle with 67%, which was also reflected by how many more passes they had (636-283). SDFC had 14 shots to St. Louis' 2, but just 1 of FC's shots was on goal. FC also had 9 corner kicks while SC had none, but none of those statistics ultimately mattered, with the match ending in a scoreless draw. SDFC's Chucky Lozano also exited the match in the 29th minute with an apparent injury, which will be a storyline to keep an eye on. SDFC earned one point in the standings thanks to the draw, and now has four points through two games. Their next match is Saturday 3/8 against Real Salt Lake.
