San Diego FC's historic inaugural season came to an end in the Western Conference Finals on Saturday night with a 3-1 loss to Vancouver. The visitors scored two very quick goals to jump out to a 2-0 lead, when Brian White scored in the 8th minute, and then three minutes later when SDFC goalie Pablo Sisniega was charged with an own goal when the ball ricocheted off him following a save by his teammate. White would score again in stoppage time right before the half, providing more than enough cushion for the Whitecaps. Chucky Lozano would score in the 60th minute to bring SDFC back to within two goals, but it was too little too late, as San Diego FC came up just one win shy of reaching the MLS Cup.
