10-year-old Camille Richards was leaving a restaurant with her family when she noticed another family standing in the cold, looking for help from strangers and passersby.

Richards wanted to do something to help, but on a large scale for families all across DFW. So, she started a coat drive, and in doing so collected more than 100 coats, in just a short period of time, for donation to Vogel Alcove, a North Texas nonprofit that supports homeless children.

Each coat also comes along with a personal note written by Richards. She explains, "In each pocket of the coat, there is an inspiring message, so that they can be inspired to keep living their life and keep pushing forward. For example, here's one I wrote: Dear Friend, where you start in life is not where you finish. You can do great things. Love, Camille."
