"Ironic" – Alanis Morissette
-Of course, the song was been criticized for not offering "real" examples of irony, but in 2008 Morissette defended the song saying the dictionary was updated to include a definition of irony to be "a coincidence and bad luck."  Morissette said, "I always tell people that I'm the smartest stupid person you'll ever meet."

"Love Plus One" – Haircut 100
-The song ranked at No. 90 on VH1's 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 1980s.
-It was the band's only hit in the United Statess, peaking at #37 on the Hot 100, and shortly after it was released in January 1982, the world experienced the very first computer virus, the Elk Cloner, which 15-year-old Rich Skrenta had originally written as a joke!  It is widely believed to have been one of the first large-scale self-spreading personal computer viruses ever created.

"(Keep Feeling) Fascination" – Human League
-Featured in the 2002 video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
-The band is seen playing instruments in the music video, unusual for them at the time.  Singer Philip Oakey said the aim of the video was "to show that we're a group who plays music together."

"Talking In Your Sleep" – The Romantics
-The band's only Top 10 hit.
-A cover by the band "Bucks Fizz" actually charted higher than the Romantics' version
