Drew Bausman of Sacramento, California is no doubt UPS' biggest fan.
Drew was born with Down Syndrome, and first noticed the trucks in his neighborhood when he was just 4-years-old. He's been obsessed ever since.
When the pandemic started, Bausman's obsession grew even more because the amount of trucks driving through his neighborhood exponentially increased.
It was then that his mother Becky bought Drew his own UPS uniform, and a toy truck that has become his favorite possession. Becky even took Drew to a UPS store to mail packages and boxed up cookies to bring to the drivers.
Becky told Today, "We cultivated (his interest) more and more."
To celebrate World Down Syndrome Day March 21, Becky took Drew UPS store to hand out gifts for the drivers, and the company let the child help load packages into a truck, and then a higher-up in communications reached out to offer something even better: driver for a day!
Drew obviously had the time of his life, and now wants to be a UPS driover even more.
Becky said, "Joy is kind of my platform as it relates to Down syndrome, because to be honest, having a kid with Down syndrome has been the greatest source of joy in my life. That's what Drew's here to do. He does it to everyone he meets, and it just moves you to tears."
