Because of the events of the last couple of years, a lot of us forgot just how fun it was to go to a concert.
And while some might still be hesitant about attending a live show, a recent survey found that the majority of Americans have no problem riding solo at all.
The survey, conducted by Bandsintown found that 80% of Americans say that attending a live show alone sounds like an “enjoyable experience.”
Fabrice Sergent, co-founder and managing partner of Bandsintown, told NME “Going to a show solo is the ultimate level of fandom. Fans love the artist so much that they feel great going on their own.
“Fans either attend live events because of the social experience, the music, the artist, or a mix of both. We typically see rock artists attract the highest level of fans willing to go solo with 33 per cent of fans of rock artists saying they would go to a show on their own.”
Following rock music, alternative fans were 13% more likely to go to a show alone, followed by country music fans at 10%.
The survey also showed that dance music fans were least like to attend alone, with only 1% of fans saying they’d attend solo.
