Winning the lottery sounds like a dream come true, though how many tales have we heard of lottery winners experiencing tragedy and hard times soon after their wins?

And how many of those tragic moments could have been avoided had they just not told anybody they won?

That seems to be the mindset of a majority of folks who participated in a survey from Play Pennsylvania, who analyzed people's lottery playing habits and how they would react to hitting the jackpot.

They found that 83% of people would keep their winnings a complete secret, even from their FAMILIES, if they happened to win the lottery!

A lot of respondents said they'd quit their jobs if they won the lottery, though 50% said they'd need to win $4 million or more to quit.

16% said they'd need $50 MILLION to feel comfortable walking away from work, while 11% would retire after winning $500,000 or less.
