Residents of Jarrell, Texas are making the best of an annoying situation.
Like most of us, these folks are dealing with a pothole, but this one is SO big, and has been there such a long time, residents have given it a name!
People have begun calling the giant pothole "Lake Sonterra," as it's located on Sonterra Blvd.
Resident Ashley Kneer doesn't know how deep it is, but she knows the pothole is dangerous as it's constantly filled with water, and Sonterra Boulevard, which is located right off Interstate 35, takes on tons of traffic from those turning in for fast food restaurants and gas stations.
"There have been cars that scrape up, get their axles damaged," Kneer told KXAN.
"It's big enough to jostle your brain when you hit it."
Jokingly naming it "Lake Sonterra" aside, neighbors would really like to see something get done about the pothole.
"I know that some people have reached out to the city, the city says, 'Oh, it's the county's issue'," Kneer said. "The county says, 'No, this is a city issue'."
Resident Melissa Wong added, "Everyone just pawns it off on the other entity."
